Paper Folding Art
These pieces were created sing individual ‘cells’ of folded paper card connected and folded or stitched together to build a larger body of intricate patterns and shapes.
Miwa’s use of folded paper, cardboard and other materials begun with her Packaged project, which was a large scale public artwork. She became fascinated with the possibilities of folded geometric objects to create shape, form and meaning.
